Rob Gronkowski

Game of Week – Patriots-Titans Should be Close

New England at Tennessee

Spread: Patriots -7

When New England Has The Ball:

Tennessee is allowing the fewest points per game while only three teams are putting up more points on a weekly basis than the Patriots. That being said, New England’s offense has certainly been better at home than on the road and the Patriots probably will not play with as much pace and tempo in this contest. As of this writing it is difficult to speculate if Rob Gronkowski and Sony Michel will play in this road matchup, es

Monday Morning MD: — Sloppy fields means fewer injuries

“The field is horrendous,”

“It’s a complete shit show”

These were the words used to describe the Dolphins home field before kickoff.

After rain and a Miami-Duke college game Saturday night, field conditions were less than ideal. In the end, it was a sloppy game on a sloppy field but the field did not influence the game. This was the second straight year the Jets had to play on a less than idea field versus the Dolphins.

Dr. Chao Friday – Cam Newton Should be All Good

his week in fantasy may be trickier than usual as some of the key questionable players like Rob Gronkowski and LeSean McCoy don’t play until Monday night. Here are my thoughts on player health and effectiveness for Week Eight

QB

Cam Newton was limited this week for his right throwing shoulder.

Monday Morning MD — Solution for Thursday Games

With so many injuries, do Thursday games make sense?

As we approach the middle of the season and injuries mount, is it fair to ask players to make the short turnaround for a mid-week contest? There is no statistical increase of injuries for a Thursday game but clearly it is harder to recover and tough on the body.

I will take this chance to reiterate my plan first introduced more than three years ago to add a second bye week.

Game of Week — Brady and Gronkowski are Big Fantasy Plays

New England at Chicago

Spread: Patriots -4

When New England Has The Ball:

We can’t do this, but when analyzing the Bears defense, we should really throw their disastrous game last week out the window. Why you ask? Of course it counts like every other game and you can’t make excuses in the NFL, but there were many things at play working against the Bears. First off, they prepared all week for Ryan Tannehill, not Brock Osweiler who was named the starter right before kickoff.

Will Julian Edelman be instant difference maker for Patriots tonight?

Thursday Night Football

Indianapolis at New England

Spread: Patriots -11

When New England Has The Ball:

Rob Gronkowski may or may not suit up on Thursday Night and the Colts have allowed a lot of production to opposing tight ends. He has been getting an obscene amount of attention from opposing coverage schemes, but that might be ready to change to some degree. Julian Edelman returns and he was greatly missed, but he hasn’t played football since the Patriots’ Super Bowl victory over Atlanta. That is a long hiatus.
