Odell Beckham Jr.

New York Giants are Wasting Special Talents of Odell Beckham Jr

With all the respect in the world to Adam Thielen, Julio Jones, DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Thomas and the other wide receivers across the NFL having terrific seasons, the guy at this position that looks better on tape than any other is Odell Beckham. Statistically, Beckham isn’t having a poor year by anyone’s standards, but his tape evaluation is far greater than his stat line of 61 receptions on 91 targets for 785 yards, but only two touchdowns.

MNF Preview – Saquon Barkley, OBJ Hot Fantasy Starts

New York Giants at Atlanta

Spread: Falcons-4

When New York Has The Ball:

Only one team is allowing more than the 32 points per game that Atlanta is hemorrhaging. Saquon Barkley is an extremely special and unique talent, but nonetheless, the Giants running game is very inconsistent and unreliable. However, the Falcons allow an inordinate amount of receptions to running backs and Eli Manning has become too reliant on dumping the ball off to Barkley.

Is The Drama With Odell Beckham Jr Just Beginning Or Ending

What is Odell Beckham, Jr. up to?

The New York Giants wide receiver created a stir over the weekend in an interview with ESPN with rapper Lil Wayne was by his side. OBJ questioned first-year Giants’ coach Pat Shurmur’s offense, he criticized quarterback Eli Manning and he refused to say he was happy in New York while expressing an affinity for Los Angeles, his offseason home.

Shurmur was irritated by the mention of Beckham’s comments when addressing the media after Sunday’s, 33-31, last second loss to the Carolina Panthers. Beckham stood by his remarks after the game. He suggested that he had galvanized the Giants, whose record dropped to 1-4. The Giants had their best offensive outing of the season scoring more than 30 points in a game for the first time since December 2015.

The schedule prevents the Beckham drama from becoming a bigger controversy this week than it already is. The Giants are facing the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, who are off to a surprisingly slow start at 2-3, tonight.

Eagles-Giants – Why Carson Wentz Is Winning Fantasy Play

Philadelphia at New York Giants

Spread: Eagles -2.5

When New York Has The Ball:

While the left side of New York’s offensive line is in fine shape, that simply isn’t the case for the other three starting spots. That is a terrible problem to have against Fletcher Cox and this outstanding defensive line. Eli Manning has shown his age this year and that is especially true for his propensity to stay in the pocket and take a hit in order to drive the ball down the field. That just isn’t happening with Manning any more, but he should throw the ball plenty on Thursday Night.
