Kirk Cousins

Game of Week Bears-Vikings Stack Up Well

Minnesota at Chicago

Spread: Bears -3

When Minnesota Has The Ball:

A huge key for Minnesota to winning this road contest is protecting the football against a Bears team that leads the NFL in turnover differential. When asked to do too much, Kirk Cousins has become sloppy with the ball. This is especially true early in his career, but remains a part of his makeup nonetheless now as well. Obviously, the best way to take control of what should be a very close game and lighten Cousins’ load is to run the football with a-healthy Dalvin Cook

2018 Free-Agent Class Proves to be Less Than Stellar

The 2018 free-agent class takes major hits seemingly on a daily basis.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals had to put Jordan Pugh, their $9 million guard, on injured reserve. The Buffalo Bills became the second team to cut wide receiver Terrelle Pryor, whom the New York Jets paid $4.5 million a year. Last week the New York Giants cut guard Patrick Omameh, who signed a three-year, $15 million contract.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers paid $3.25 million a year for kicker Chandler Catanzaro. He was cut this week. Cody Parkey of the Chicago Bears got $3.75 million a year and he’s struggling.

Safe to say, this wasn’t a good free-agent class. My fear is that is might be the norm. One of the things I track is how many draft choices from the draft class that turns into free agency the next season are on the active roster.

Fantasy Saturday — Dalvin Cook Return Will Help KIrk Cousins

Key notes for your fantasy needs:

Tampa Bay at Atlanta

Devonta Freeman Is Out

We have seen this Falcons’ offense quite a bit without Freeman and the reality is that his absence doesn’t really move the needle all that much. From a fantasy perspective, Tevin Coleman hasn’t capitalized nearly enough without Freeman around and he is very likely to split time once again with Ito Smith to some degree. The Falcons are going to stay with a committee backfield no matter what and we now have plenty of data to back that up. Still, Coleman’s touches will clearly be higher without Freeman involved. This injury doesn’t really change the rest of Atlanta’s weaponry, but even though Coleman will be splitting time, the matchup against the Buccaneers is just far too juicy. So in the end, Coleman should pay off well for you this week and maybe very well.

Buffalo at Houston

Tre’Davious White And Lamar Miller Should Play
