Where Does Adam Thielen Rank Among  NFL’s Best WRs

As of this writing, Julio Jones hadn’t played yet in Week 7. Jones is second in the NFL in receiving yards, but still 114 yards behind the leader in this category, Adam Thielen. The Vikings have yet to have their bye, but Thielen has been targeted 89 times, seven more than Jarvis Landry, who is second in this category. Thielen has 26 more catches than Landry and 333 more yards on just seven additional targets to Landry. More remarkable, Thielen has a minimum of six catches and 102 yards in all seven of Minnesota’s games this season with those two low water marks coming back in Week 1. Needless to say, Thielen has been remarkably productive and consistent in 2018.

Of course Thielen was an excellent player in 2017 as well, but he only eclipsed the century mark for receiving yards on four occasions out of 19 games, including his three playoff games. To his credit, Thielen did also post three games with 96 or more receiving yards, but nonetheless, it is safe to say that he has taken his game to another level this year and is working extremely well with his new quarterback, Kirk Cousins.
